Returning to work after lockdown was an interesting experience. Everything had to change from the way we worked to the way we had our breaks. We were given our own had sanitiser as well was our own hand soap. Whilst working in the workshop we tried our best to social distance and wore our axminster evolution/jsp power cap. The frame arrived on site May 18. This frame was so big with so many pieces we spent the best part of the week sorting out and organising the site to enable the raise go as smoothly as possible.
The crane arrived on site on the 26th of May and we started the raise. By the end of the first day the first level was up. Over the course of the next 3 Days the frame was completed.
Due to the lockdowns we were a little behind on our schedule, with 6 weeks of lost working we cracked on with studding out and pitching the roof. It took us just under a month to fully sheath and wrapped the whole house. During lockdown projects were still being designed and priced so as well as working to complete the house. We peeled a team off to take care of these smaller builds.
With everything back on track and Covid cases slowly going down the team continued working on the house with the aim of getting out clients in before Christmas. They worked incredible hard and manged to complete the house in under 6 months from the raising the frame with our clients moving in a month before Christmas.
