2018 week 17 Update – 20/6/18 – 2/7/18 – Norton Timber
Barham
As you saw in our last update, our team has started production on the frame for the Barham job. It has been nearly two weeks since then and as you will see below, the project is flying by! The last time you saw this build, the boys were in the process of building the frame’s longitudinal walls (front and rear). In this video you will see them complete the frame’s main external walls and Main cross frames, then move onto building the sun room and subsequently the sun room roof, look back next week to see the roof completed.
Thats all there is for the frame this week, however while we’ve been badgering away in the workshop, ground work has commenced on site as of last week! This frame is very interesting as it has been designed with the foundations being set into the bank of a hill on site, which at this stage makes the dug out foundations look quite odd. have a look!

Now that the build’s first fix electrics and plumbing have been installed we’ve been able to start laying the insulation on the ground floor which will then allow for the under floor heating to be installed before screeding up to finished floor level.
Additionally the external cladding has started as of this morning. We’ll have some pictures to show you next week so you can see how it looks, but this project is most certainly coming together!
