Quiet Week In The Workshop.
Shepherdswell
This week we’ve been continuing working on site in Shepherdswell, which has left our workshop in the same state we left it last week. On site the roof has been fully completed and it looks amazing! Have a look at some of these photos and let us know what you think?! We’ve also completed all of the internal stud work of the build. The next step is to get the frame sandblasted on Monday and then for the windows to be installed on Wednesday!
Double Gable End
If you remember from last week’s post we were featured on the @Storeyselfbuild Instagram account. this was down to us designing, fabricating and raising two gable end facades for their self build project. Well… They were featured in an issue of the evening standard this week! The article focuses on how despite popular belief, self building can be a very viable option and offer a huge amount of creative freedom to make your dream home. It’s a good read! Here’s a snippet that but be sure to click on the image to read to full post!
Barham
In other news, we received a delivery of all of the soft wood that we need for our up coming job in Barham. theres a fair amount and thats just the soft wood. We also have about twenty-four tonnes of oak beams for the same frame so it’s going to be a big job!
Elmsted
If you remember a few weeks ago we packed up a traditional oak frame three bay cart shed and shipped it off to site. since then we’ve been working on our shepherdswell frame but on Monday we’ll be raising it so keep an eye out for a video of that! If you missed it read about it here!
