Norton Timber at The Carpenter’s Fellowship’s Frame Event
This weekend our boys have been out to Cardiff to attend the Carpenter’s Fellowship‘s annual Frame event. They’ve since come back raving about it, from the equipment demos and lectures to the additional activities including viewing their ongoing 12th-century church build, food, drink and Axe throwing – but more of that later.

We’ve picked up some new gear from the lovely folk over at TF Tools and The Albion Emporium among others, so go and have a look at our Instagram to see some of the things we picked up!

Out of the 20+ lectures and demonstrations, some our favorites included Laurie Smith’s talk on geometric designs in Wales, Don Rigby’s scribing seminar and the incredible wood bending presented by Lui Rocca.
We’d like to give a big thank you to the fellowship for putting on such a good event. From the food and drink to the lectures and demos but most importantly cultivating such a nice and friendly atmosphere. needless to say from our experiences this weekend we’re thoroughly looking forward to further working with the fellowship in the future.

Now back to the axe throwing, our guys as a collective entered the team rounds for fun, but our very own Matthew Town ended up scoring 22 out of a possible 25 points, winning the individual’s competition, which meant he came away with these as his prize! But don’t worry, we’ll be practicing for next year’s, and we’ll come home with the trophy!
