The framing shop.

In the spring of 2008 Norton Timber decided to expand its timber framing operations. To facilitate this, a new style of sawmill was needed. Using elements of our old mill line plus new equipment, dismantling the auto mill system, and emptying the old sawmill building we have achieved the desired result. This has given us a huge clear, under covered, area which benefits from a laser levelled power floated concrete floor. This in conjunction with a made to measure over head gantry crane, will enable us to deliver beams to any part of the framing building during frame pre assembly. This will enable us to offer a service second to none in speed and accuracy. We are looking forward to being able to show prospective clients around our new facility and introducing them to the Norton timber crew.
