Description
An extension to a 15th century cottage in Somerset this was a small extension that required a careful balancing act in its design to ensure that there was neither too much or too little oak was visible in addition to making the most of stunning views. The house is nestled tightly between the houses either side allowing for no access or external standing outside the footprint of the build. We needed to think outside the box and designed a way of building each side wall in its entirety and raising it as a finished unit. Creativity was also required to construct the roof which we did by using climbing harnesses and ropes and abseiling over the ridge!
